Life at the Ranch
At Drinking Horse Ranch, each day begins with the golden light of sunrise stretching over open pastures and rugged mountain peaks. Horses graze peacefully as guests sip morning coffee on the cabin’s deck, listening to the gentle flow of Bridger Creek below. Trails wind through forested hills and open meadows, leading to breathtaking overlooks where wildlife (elk, deer, moose, bears, wild turkeys) roam freely. Guests take part in daily ranch life, feeding chickens, collecting fresh eggs, and grooming the horses, while others lend a hand in gardening, harvesting, and woodworking projects that turn locally sourced timber into benches and raised garden beds. Afternoons bring adventure, from scenic jeep tours across the property to fly fishing in crystal-clear waters. As evening settles in, the sky ignites with vivid Montana sunsets, giving way to a brilliant night sky, where stargazing offers an unforgettable end to the day.
